Member of the eInvoicing Technical Advisory Group of the European Commission

Our CEO Daniel Homorodean was confirmed as member of the eInvoicing Technical Advisory Group of the  European Commission under the DIGITAL Europe Programme. The objective of the advisory group is to provide technical advice to the European Commission regarding the implementation of the eInvoicing standard and related processes. (October 2022).

New TYPO3 certifications for our team members

We have more team members freshly certified, including one TYPO3 Certified Developer and one TYPO3 Certified Integrator. (February 2022).

Arxia in Chile

Arxia is from now active in the Latin America through our subsidiary that we just founded in Chile. We are building our network and understanding of the local ecosystem (November 2021).

Support for ITC programs in Ghana and Ethiopia

Under contract with the ITC, the international organization mandated to assist the exports of developing countries through technical assistance, our CEO has supported the assessment of the IT comanies from Ghana and Ethiopia in the selection process for the ITC internationalization support program ( March 2022).

New contract won in Africa

We just won a new tender in Africa, Rwanda, from GIZ, to develop first open-source text-to-speech trained model for Kinyarwanda (January 2021).

TYPO3 Community Expansion Committee

Daniel Homorodean, Arxia's CEO, is leading the TYPO3 Community Expansion Committee, having the goal to promote TYPO3 in countries with high growth potential, where our favoured CMS is not yet known.

New TYPO3 certifications for our team members

Starting 2022 in the rigth way, we have more team members freshly certified, including one TYPO3 Certified Developer and one TYPO3 Certified Integrator. At Arxia we take seriously the continuous improvement of our colleagues and support them to advance their knowledge and experience (February 2022).

New contract won in Africa

We just won a new tender in Africa, Rwanda, from GIZ, to develop first open-source text-to-speech trained model for Kinyarwanda, the native language of more than 10 million Rwandans. We'll do it together with our close partners (January 2021).

Arxia in Chile

Arxia is from now active in the Latin America through our subsidiary that we just founded in Chile. During a business trip in Santiago we are building our network and understanding of the local ecosystem. Here, with the representatives of the Government's Laboratory (November 2021).

Arxia & TYPO3 in Uganda

Extending our footprint in Africa, we have from now a subsidiary company in Uganda, and engaged the local IT ecosystem with a presentation about TYPO3 CMS. The web developers from Kampala are eager to learn our favourite CMS ( October 2021).

Delivering workshops in Rwanda

We are back to Africa, Rwanda, supporting the implementation of the first conversational chatbot in the local language Kinyarwanda, a consultancy and coaching project that Arxia implements for GIZ, together with our close partners (Sept. 2021).

Sharing our experience in developing new products

At Arxia we constantly improve our portfolio of software products for the international markets and we have collected lessons learned that we are always happy to share, as we did in the Expert Panel organized by Today Software Magazine. The recording is available here ( June 2021)

Hopin platform - online event

TYPO3 International Meetup Days was an amazing online event about TYPO3, the best open-sours CMS. Our speakers have been from all over the world (Canada, USA, Europe, Africa, Asia) and represented governmental institutes, universities, IT Companies. We had two special guests: Google and Drop Box. What is more important is the fact that we had participants from 41 countries and we can say today that TYPO3 is global!

Launching the Rwandan TYPO3 Community

2nd Workshop on Electronic Invoicing in Romania

We are "all in" to help Romania implement the European regulations and gain the benefits from adopting the electronic invoice in public procurement and maybe further in the B2B relations. Our CEO has facilitated the 2nd e-Invoicing workshop in Romania, organized by the Cluj IT Cluster, with the participation of the European Commission and the CIO Office of the government of Romania. We hope to have made an important step forward.

TYPO3 "Personality of the year" award for our CEO

Our CEO Daniel Homorodean was awarded the title of "Personality of the year" by the TYPO3 Association during the TYPO3 Awards ceremony organized as part of the TYPO3 Conference 2019. The jury appreciated Daniel's efforts to promote TYPO3 in the Eastern Europe and in Africa, resulting in the establishment of the T3EE conference in Cluj since 2013 and the expansion of TYPO3 in Rwanda.

We believe that large opportunities lie in the digitalization process of the African countries and the Romanian IT companies should be present in the region. Our CEO has organized an economic mission that took the Romanian IT delegation through Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda, in a very dense meeting schedule with the governmental instutitions, universities, local IT companies and the technical communities. We are looking forward to expand our actions in the region in the future.

The 2nd edition of our conference was organized by us at Cluj Arena, gathering public procurement practitioners from all Romania, with a set of great speakers like Milica Ecaterina Dobrota, Marius Vasiliu, Bogdan Dobrin, Octavian Constantinescu, Marius Sorin Danga, Valeria Tudora, Irina Forgo. It was a great full day, ended with a proper socializing event. Our colleague Florin Popovici moderated the conference and presented the advantages of digitalizing the public procurement processes using ProcessPlayer.

On the podium at Open Banking Hackathon

The Arxia team composed by Horea Negru and Daniel Homorodean were rewarded the 3rd prise at the Demo Night Open Banking Hackathon, where they showcased the vision of our new project e-Factura and how the open banking interaction allows easy payment processing and account checking in relation with the sent and received invoices. This is just the beginning for a great journey to come.

PlanningWiz at the first Proptech Hackathon in Romania

We presented the vision of a platform that will make the collaboration between tenants and property managers much more efficient, using interactive floor plans to manage maintenance and repair operations.

First Workshop on Electronic Invoicing in Romania

Our CEO facilitated the first workshop on the adoption of electronic invoicing in Romania, an event organized by Cluj IT Cluster, with the participation of the representatives of the European Commission, topcentral institutions of Romania and the IT industry. We believe that eInvoicing will be a game changer for all of us once it will gain proper B2G and B2B traction. eInvoicing stands for the complete dematerialization of the invoice, passing through between the seller and buyer as an automatically processable data stream. Arxia is firmly supporting this process.

PlanningWiz and ProcessPlayer at the Startup Europe Summit

Our products PlanningWiz and ProcessPlayer were selected to participate at the larger startup event organized by the European Commission this year. PlanningWiz had its own stand and participated in the pitching competition. We also gave a presentation about the ProcessPlayer journey in becoming a key tool for public procurement processes in many Romanian institutions and in taking it abroad in new markets.

"Public Procurement Expert" Facebook Group

We believe in communities, we believe in sharing, we believe in contributing. Sensing the need of public procurement practitioners to share knowledge and practical advices, our colleague Florin Popovici created and nurtures the "Public Procurement Expert" group on Facebook, the place where the Romanian specialists give and receive help. The group has passed now the 8,000 members mark and is by far the largest and most relevant social media place for Romanian domain experts. INNO - the "platform economy"

INNO, the platform freshly launched by the North-West Regional Development Agency (Romania) has the strong ambition of bringing together all the regional actors - administration, universities, startups, established businesses, help them engage each other for relevant mutual gains, and in the same time offering the entry point for potential investors to find opportunities in our region. INNO is developed by Arxia and powered by TYPO3, the best open source CMS.

ProcessPlayer at the "Enhancing the Legal Protection for EU Financial Interests in Romania" Conference

We believe that the integrity, accountability, waste reduction and correct regulation applicance in public procurement is greatly enhanced by the proper digital support of the procurement planning and execution. In fact, we claim that we could gratly reduce corruption from its planning phase, if tools like ProcessPlayer would be adopted by the institutions. In a national conference dedicated to fraud prevention in EU-financed projects, our colleague Florin Popovici detailed how this can be achieved, in his presentation "Optimizing and minimizing fraud risks in public procurement through digitalization"

Judging the best design for the Rwandan gov.rw portal

Our colleague Alina Fleșer-Miclăuș was invited to be part of the jury, along with managers from central institutions and from GIZ,  for the design hackathon whose winner will have the chance to work on the planner new governmental portal of Rwanda. This was the final stage of a one-week engagement with the programmers at the Rwandan Information Society Authority which learned from Alina the advantages and specifics of TYPO3 CMS.

CMS Africa Summit 2018

This year T3EE was preceded by a day of "TYPO3 Marathon", when our team and our guests run arround the town presenting TYPO3 in various locations. It was the "edition of the colors", from t-shirts to drinks and to badges. Our colleagues held two presentations: Emil Mercea showcased the technical mastering of 3D planning in the browser with WebGL showcasing our PlanningWiz floor planner and Daniel Homorodean presented "A3 Thinking", a logical and structured approach to problem solving adopted by Lean organizations around the world.
